As a Talent Acquisition Sourcer, you find the most qualified job candidates for our Corporate and/or Community teams and share talent pipelines with the Talent Acquisition Specialists you support.

 

 

Roles You'll Play


  

THE TALENT SCOUT

  • Scour the internet, the company’s databases, and other resources to find the best candidates — ones who will embody the Cortland brand from day one
  • Embrace new recruiting technologies and tools that might aid in your efforts
  • Manage Talent Acquisition Specialists’ searches while continuing to hunt every day on your own
  • Constantly keep an eye out for top talent wherever you go

THE MATCHMAKER

  • Connect the talent you’ve discovered with our current or future openings based on the candidate’s skills and how the align with the company’s needs
  • Advocate on behalf of your candidates with your Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure they are presented to hiring managers in the best possible light
  • Make the case for why you think your candidates will be great at living our values and modeling our brand
  • Use constant communications to build relationships with candidates and Cortland hiring managers — setting meaningful expectations and keeping everyone informed

THE AMBASSADOR

  • Act like a walking advertisement for the Cortland brand, bragging about Cortland’s unique features, the benefits we offer, and the wonderful associates who work here
  • Attend in-person and online events to spot potential new hires and excite them about working for such an awesome company
  • Get excited to tell job seekers about all the new opportunities that fall within your territory
  • Actively follow up, follow up, (and…did we mention follow up?) so great candidates won’t fall through the cracks

Your Building Blocks of Success


  • 2+ years of successful direct sourcing within a Talent Acquisition team strongly preferred
  • Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking system highly recommended
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize creative sources to uncover hidden talent; driven to meet and exceed both departmental and individual goals
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic; high levels of professionalism, confidence, enthusiasm, and motivation
  • Extraordinary customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Charisma and the strong ability to effectively communicate with a diverse array of people
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
