Role Overview


  

The Accounts Payable Coordinator - Property reports to the AP Manager and will be responsible for ensuring proper efficiencies applicable to all payables being managed, organized and paid in a timely fashion. This position will support and work with all levels of Associates throughout Cortland Partners in ensuring their needs are met to support the investors, associates and partners. 

 

The Role You'll Play


  

  • Manage weekly check runs
  • Send Community Manager AP progress report following weekly check runs
  • Prepare vendor checks for mailing
  • Record utilities paid-to-date on monthly basis
  • Maintain payables files
  • Review payable batches received for accuracy
  • Supply payment statement to property for record keeping
  • Enter property payables for corporate expenses, copiers, marketing and draws
  • Assist with accounting projects and research
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Prepare annual Form 1099’s
  • Special projects and tasks as needed; All other duties as assigned

  • Can be a team player and a self-starter

 

Required Knowledge and Experience


 

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Previous experience on accounting systems required
  • OneSite experience a big plus
