As a Job Cost Analyst, you follow project control procedures and practices to support the Project Manager (PM) in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing out projects.


Roles You'll Play



  • Accumulate data about multifamily communities to draw conclusions about their cost flow
  • Use cost-based states to create precise reports that compare current status to established baselines and forecasts
  • Assist the Project Manager in understanding where the project money is going and how to allocate it more wisely


  • Determine the cost of the project, the Project Manager’s budget for operation, and an estimate for future extra spending
  • Review scheduling, design, and labor requirements to predict highly accurate completion costs
  • Communicate estimates and extra forecasted costs to the project teams so everyone knows what to expect and can ensure budgets are never off the mark


  • Lead the development of project control plans for assigned projects
  • Assist in identifying potential cost and schedule hazards, performing risk analysis, and controlling identified areas of exposure throughout the life of the project
  • Make project teams aware of any cost risks and collaborate with them to implement process improvements

Your Building Blocks of Success

  • Stellar record of 3-5 years in project controls with technical diploma or university degree
  • Strong working knowledge of cost control, change management, planning and scheduling, estimating, and project accounting processes and systems
  • Solid business skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Effective communication, influencing, and leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in MS Excel and Timberline
