Role Overview


 

  

The Development Accountant will perform routine accounting functions pertaining to development projects.

 

 

 

The Role You'll Play


 

  

  • Prepare and maintain lender requisition draws
  • Reconcile construction in progress and closing draws
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Place assets into service on a monthly basis
  • Communicate with Directors of Investments, and external parties to manage draw requests/requirements
  • Perform/review bank account reconciliations  
  • Prepare deposits and weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Review accounts payable transactions for proper coding  
  • Enter project setup sheets and maintain filing system for projects
  • Perform general accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, and general ledger posting
  • Assist with construction project analysis reporting
  • All other duties as assigned

 

 

Your Building Blocks of Success


 

 

  • Timberline or One Site Accounting experience preferred
  • Financial statement preparation and general ledger experience preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Required Knowledge and Experience


 

 

  • 2+ years development accounting experience preferred, including draw preparation and reconciliation
  • 4-year college degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
