The Marketing intern will report to the Vice President of Marketing, and will assist with marketing and advertising projects. The intern will effectively execute strategies and develops solid internal relationships and industry knowledge to contribute to brand awareness objectives.

The Real Work

 


 

 

  • Provide project management support in the implementation of marketing programs to Cortland communities and departments
  • Manage and create marketing materials
  • Participate in the planning of marketing strategies
  • Present campaign ideas and budgets
  • Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and of media placement results
  • Understand media landscape in each market
  • Prepare and maintain market media/production calendars
  • Format, coordinate, and present marketing programs, schedules, and reports
  • Assist in the review, revision, and presentation of budgets, calendars, campaigns, and reports
  • Assist in creative communication process and work closely with Branding & Communications team to execute
  • Implement digital marketing and social media programs and campaigns

Required Intern Knowledge and Experience

 


 

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student, preferably in marketing, public relations, business administration, or a similar program of study.
  • Preferably a Junior or Senior student level.
  • Demonstrated interest in a career path in the property management industry.
  • Interested in a paid internship.
  • Willing to complete an interview process by designated internship appointees or mentors.
  • Exceptional time-management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills; Ability to quickly adapt to an often-changing and rapid-paced work environment.
  • Superior project management and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of traditional and digital media and its competitive landscape.
  • Must demonstrate ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Must have strong analytical skills with proven ability to draw solid conclusions based on measurement results; Capacity to develop solutions relevant to research findings.
