As a Project Engineer, you support Construction teams as they undertake new construction, renovation, and capex projects at a multimillion dollar, multifamily apartment home community.

 

Roles You'll Play


  

THE UTILITY PLAYER

  • Execute a wide variety of engineering and administrative activities from budgeting and planning to project buy-out and documentation
  • Provide technical support for the resolution and tracking of project issues
  • Maintain project schedules; assist with planning and managing site logistics
  • Receive, review, and evaluate contractor quotations and change orders
  • Manage the plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities

THE INSIDER

  • Prepare and issue meeting minutes
  • Implement corporate safety policies on jobsite
  • Run the project document control process
  • Process submittals and RFIs — help administer contractors, subcontracts, and procurement while expediting work and controlling costs
  • Support procurement in distributing bidding documents and tracking bidders

Your Building Blocks of Success


  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • Previous experience as intern or entry-level PE with commercial contractor a plus
  • Ability to read plans/specs and to work with budgets
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to increasing overall job/industry knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise software systems
